"Tools empower us to act on the dream we feel in our heart, taking us to new heights of enjoyment and excellence." -- Jonas Cain Learn More ⬇︎ After a double traverse of the Grand Canyon, a climb up Mount St. Helens, and twenty summits in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the hiking shoes that brought me to these amazing places and safely back home for two years had finally seen their last day. During their last adventure, both shoes tore beyond repair and it was time to retire them.
The tools we use empower us to turn mere dreams into reality, bringing us to new heights of enjoyment and excellence. An important consideration, then, is to reflect on and identify the tools we need to succeed, and then do all that we must to acquire them. Just as a hiker would be held back by wearing torn shoes, so too will we held back from achieving our personal and professional goals if we don't have the right tools for the job. I'm happy to report that I was able to quickly replace those hiking shoes with a new pair, which have already brought me on adventures to experience the joy of new summits. I'm excited to see where they take me next! Reflection What tools do you need to succeed? Are you doing what you must to acquire and take care of them? Want More On This Topic?
