There's a place near my apartment where robins freely flock. I enjoy walking to the open area to watch and listen to the happy birds sing their songs. It genuinely makes me smile and gives me some technology-free time listening to the sounds of nature instead of an mp3 through headphones.
What fascinates me most is that this is such a genuine source of joy, yet one that I hadn't discovered until just recently, because I was simply "too busy" to explore my own neighborhood. With all my workshops cancelled and with many clients hesitant to give virtual professional development a try (perhaps due to office closures, layoffs, dwindling budgets, or simply "busy" with other things) I magically have time to discover new things to smile about.
This got me to thinking about the other things in my life that make me smile, and I wondered what else I can smile about but just don't know it yet because they're things that I've yet to discover.
Check out this week's positivity coaching video to dive deeper into this and find more things to smile about.
