"The journey is never ending. There's always gonna be growth, improvement, adversity; you just gotta take it all in and do what's right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment." — Antonio Brown On October 8, 2017 I hiked Mt. Garfield in New Hampshire for the first time. When I made it to the top it occurred to me that only a few years earlier I could barely make it up a flight of stairs without getting winded, yet by taking small incremental and consistent steps I’m now able to climb 4500-foot mountains!
I’m often amazed at what can be accomplished when we make small yet conscientious efforts consistently over time. For many people, they tend to become overwhelmed by the slightest notion of having to undertake a big task. For these folks the tendency is to give up before they even get started, leading them to stagnation and complacency where there simply go through life instead of growing through life. The Magic Word Growth reminds that we will never grow beyond our current level of opportunities unless we make a conscious effort to be all that we hope to be. Bridging the gap between where we are and where we want to be certainly is a daunting task, but combining right actions with consistency will in the long run yield amazing results. REFLECTION Where do you want to go? What small steps can you make today and every day to keep you on the path that will lead you there? |
