The word fascination is derived from words meaning to bewitch or enchant, and today it generally refers to the influence of your attention—attracting an intense interest in whatever it is your mind is set upon.
The lack of fascination fosters a fixed mindset, discouraging us with a woeful lack of interest, knowledge, and opportunities. And yet, when you do engage in fascination, you become empowered with a growth mindset through curiosity and wonder to discover new possibilities.
The question becomes, what's enchanting your attention and what is it empowering you to discover about yourself and the world around you?
Jonas Cain is an author, magician, and facilitator of fascination, helping individuals, teams, and communities experience abiding joy by mindfully transitioning through change.
