The word connection is derived from words meaning bind, tie, or join together, and today it generally refers to the relationship between people.
When we lack connection with others, we decrease who we include as us in the “in crowd,” and increase who we exclude as others in the “out-crowd.” And yet, when we do invest in high-value relationships through genuine connections, we discover the common ground that binds us together, opening the door for unity and compassion.
The question becomes, how are you creating compassionate connections with the important people in your life, to increase who we include as us and decrease who we exclude as others?
