The word commitment is derived from words meaning pledge, promise, and obligation, and today it generally refers to dedication and willingness to follow through at all cost.
Without commitment, we lack the sincere motivation needed to follow through with anything worthwhile.
And yet, with commitment, we become empowered to not just go through life, but to sincerely grow through life. Accepting life not just for how it is, but for how it might be, and honoring that vision by engaging in the daily practice to see it through.
The question becomes, what are you committed to and how are you honoring those commitments?
